Well, folks, we went and checked the Detroit Red Wings' official roster page on NHL.com today, October 29, 2026: Dylan Larkin is not on it. A full-page search for "Larkin" returns nothing — he is not among the 14 forwards listed, and the page shows no injured-reserve or non-roster section hiding him away, either. No. 71 is simply gone, like a nameplate quietly taken off a locker.

He is also being held out of tonight's game against Chicago, and interim GM Shawn Horcoff is expected to address the situation. First the C came off his chest. Now his name's off the roster. You just don't see that every day, folks — not in this town, not with this kid.

For the record: vanishing from a roster page doesn't start this meter. The counter only moves when Detroit actually suspends him and docks his pay — and that hadn't happened yet. It still read $0.00 — but keep your eyes on this space, because something sure feels like it's brewing.
